Massage for Injury Rehab: Low Back Lower Cross Syndrome Flagstaff- September 2025
This class teaches a deeper understanding of the Lumbar and low back region. There is
an emphasis on reviewing pertinent muscles, anatomy, and structures to better
understand the dysfunctions. Students will learn indications and contraindications for
using massage techniques to treat conditions of the intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of
this region including lower cross syndrome. Hands-on demonstration and practice of
neuromuscular and Myofascial techniques for soft tissue injury and recovery of the low
back issues.
Instructor Biography: A Licensed massage therapist and instructor since
1993, Mario has worked with an array of clientele encountering many true to life
situations. It is many of these antidotes that Mario shares with class participants to
balance and validate the theoretical terms and concepts. Humor, class participation and
inspiration are important components of classes taught by Mario. As a Massage
Therapist, Mario worked with the University of Iowa college athletes. Sports included:
Football under coach Hayden Fry, Wrestling under coach Dan Gable, Jim Zalesky and
Tom Brands, Men’s and Women’s track under coach Larry Wieczorek and Layne
Anderson respectively. Throughout his teaching career Mario has taught classes in:
Anatomy/Physiology and Pathology, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular massage and
Postural Analysis

September 20th 2025, 9am-12pmKinesiology is the study of the mechanics of movement. In this class, we will build on participants’ kinesiology knowledge to explore how understanding how our muscles move can enhance our treatment planning and massage sessions. We will review joint movements, muscle attachments, and movements and strategies to palpate these muscles efficiently. We will use these tools to explore how we can incorporate this knowledge into treatment planning, providing our clients an effective massage session. This course is a series of 6, 3-hour classes broken down into different regions of the body. Participants may choose any number of classes in the series to attend in any order.

Introduction to Cranial Sacral and Myofascia Release -Mesa October 2025 - Mesa
October 24th 2025, 11am- 3pmIntroduction to Cranial Sacral and MyoFascia Release
This highly experiential class introduces students to the healing principles and applications of both
cranial sacral therapy and myofascial release. Together, we will explore the subtle movements of the
cranial and sacral bones and examine how fascial restrictions influence the entire body, both physically
and emotionally. The class is structured as an interactive, hands-on learning experience. Participants
will not only hear about the history and theory behind these methods but will also practice and feel the
techniques in action. Time is taken to observe and sense the unwinding process, with opportunities to
both give and receive work. The focus is on teaching practitioners how to feel and sense deeper layers
of the body, learning to recognize holding patterns and gently release them. An important part of this
training is integration. Students will see how cranial sacral and myofascial release techniques can be
woven into a regular massage session, enhancing therapeutic results without requiring a separate
full-session approach—though practitioners will also learn when a focused cranial or myofascial
session may be appropriate. The goal of this course is to expand each therapist’s toolbox with subtle,
powerful skills that support profound physical and energetic healing at every level.
