In the Foundations Class, (8CEs) students learn the basics and foundations of cupping. It is the prerequisite class for the other classes in the series. This class discusses the theories of negative pressure and how cupping affects different body systems, as well as the benefits, contraindications, and precautions for cupping as bodywork. Students practice hands-on application of cups, working with various pressure levels and techniques. Friday, April 21, 2023, 9am - 6pm, $220
The Upper Body Course (4 CEs) dives deeper into specific cupping applications of the upper body. This class reviews upper body lymphatic pathways and contraindications for cupping, along with common upper body conditions and dysfunctions. Students will perform hands-on application of cups for conditions involving the thoracic region, posterior and anterior shoulder, elbow joint, forearm, and hand. The Lower Body Course (4CEs) dives deeper into specific cupping applications of the lower body. This class reviews lower body lymphatic pathways and contraindications for cupping, along with common lower body conditions and dysfunctions. Students will perform hands-on application of cups for conditions involving hips, quadriceps, hamstrings, lower leg, and foot. Saturday, April 22, 2023, 2pm - 6pm, $112
The Abdomen Course (4 CEs) dives deeper into cupping applications for the stomach and abdomen. This class reviews of lymphatic and digestive pathways of the body. You will learn application, techniques, common conditions, and contraindications for cupping the stomach and abdomen specifically. Students will perform hands-on applications for digestive movement and dysfunctions. Sunday, April 23, 2023, 9am - 1pm, $112
The Face Course (4CEs) dives deeper into cupping applications of the face. This class reviews of lymphatic pathways for the head, neck, and face. You will learn application, techniques, common conditions, and contraindications for cupping the face specifically. Students will perform hands-on applications for sinus pressure, TMJ dysfunction, and lymphatic drainage. A great class for Estheticians!! Sunday, April 23, 2023, 2pm - 6pm, $112
Cups will be provided for use in the class. Students will need to provide their own set of sheets, oil, and a hand towel for class.

About the instructor: Morgan Strong, LMT - Morgan is a licensed massage therapist and massage educator that brings a passion and enthusiasm to his classes that is hard to match. He mixes high energy with a depth of knowledge to immerse students in a creative and educational experience. As an educator, his focus is on enhancing skills and helping each therapist grow in their own unique styles. Morgan was educated at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mt. Kisco, NY, and holds license to practice in both New York and Arizona. Morgan is on the faculty of the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and ASIS Massage Education, where he enjoys working with and developing students into new therapists. He is a Board Approved Continuing Education Provider through NCBTMB, and also teaches with Advanced BodyWork Education and LMT Success Group. He is the owner of Integrative Manual Bodywork, a practice that takes an integrative approach to manual therapy focusing on pain management, injury rehabilitation, and life in general.
This course will focus on the rotator cuff muscle and muscle of the scapula. Basic muscle attachments and actions including functional anatomy, massage for each muscle, and stretching.
