Certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (VODDER TECHNIQUE) (MLD)

This course will assist therapists in developing treatment sequences for the management of edema of various geneses including post-traumatic and post-surgical edema; as well as several pathologies such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, chronic pain reduction, and others. During this course, the participants will learn to perform techniques that will assist patients and clients in general relaxation, health support, and detoxification.

PLEASE NOTE: This course does NOT train therapists to treat patients with Lymphedema. Participants are educated on the applications of Manual Lymph Drainage pertaining to the pathologies listed below. For courses specific to Lymphedema, please see our Lymphedema Management Seminar (31 hours) or Complete Lymphedema Certification (135 hours).

This course is 5 days in length (40 contact hours). The classroom hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm daily. There will be approximately one hour for lunch every day.

About the Instructor: Claire completed massage training at the Arizona School of Integrative Studies (ASIS Massage Education) in Prescott, AZ in 2012. Prior to that, she studied at University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and completed her bachelors in Public Administration at Northern Arizona University. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques including MLD, connective tissue and myofascial work, stretching techniques, IASTM, and cupping. She has worked in clinical, rehabilitative settings throughout her career. She has conducted movement evaluation and education and how it relates to dysfunctional patterns in the body, with experience with both FMS (Functional Movement Systems) and DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization). Facilitating healing and promoting restoration, vitality, grace, and a sense of well-being is her goal.   • Balancing the Nervous System with Acupressure & Essential Oils - Tucson

    This course is an exploration of the nervous system from the Chinese perspective. A tense nervous system is defined as Constrained Chi, and may manifest as shoulder-neck tension, headaches, insomnia, digestive tension, or menstrual tension. A weak nervous system, on the other hand, is defined as Deficient Chi, and shows up as fatigue, low immunity, poor concentration, weak digestion or scanty periods. In this class, you will learn how to address these imbalances using  Aroma Acutouch Therapy, the art of matching the energetics and functions of essential oils to those of an Acupressure points to regulate Chi flow and to balance the nervous system.
