CANCELLED – Tucson Campus: Basic Thai Bodywork Series – Thai Massage: Sidelaying

May 1, 2020 @ 8:00 am - May 3, 2020 @ 7:00 pm

Nuad Boran (aka Thai Massage / Bodywork) is not a traditional massage at all. It is an ancient energy-based healing system originally based in ayurvedic medicine and popularized in Thailand.  In its essence it is a spiritual healing art, incorporating Buddhist healing principles, not just a physical therapy. “Accomplished therapists and teachers understand the power of meditation and stillness while at work, both for the giver and the receiver they work slowly and in a meditative way” [source: Bob Haddad, THAI]

The multiple benefits of this practice are:

  • relief for pain and muscle tension
  • greater flexibility and range of motion
  • improved alignment of the spine
  • a general increase of energy
  • increased circulation of blood & lymph
  • a balanced nervous system
  • deep relaxation
  • strengthening and rejuvenating the body, mind, and spirit
  • reduced recovery time from sport activities
  • dramatic increase of general well-Being

Basic Thai Body work series includes the following modules
