DESCRIPTION:Learn how to plan and provide safe\, nurturing touch for clients currently undergoing or recovering from treatment for cancer. Understand how cancer develops and spreads\, and how you can accommodate medical treatment side effects and implanted devices\, choose modality and technique adjustments\, and explore emotions and self-care strategies surrounding the death of a client. In the hands-on segment\, work with a partner to simulate hair loss\, implanted devices\, and chemotherapy and radiation side effects\, designing and providing a therapeutic bodywork treatment.
